Anthroposophic Psychology

Caring for the Human Soul

We live in a time where the prevailing materialistic world view of the soul increasingly threatens psychological well-being.

Anthroposophic psychology offers a unique perspective on the soul, portraying it as an intermediary that can be influenced by cosmic energies, known as the supersensible, and natural forces that are observable and quantifiable. Analogous to a rainbow spanning between sky and earth, the soul acts as a mediator between the spiritual and physical aspects of our existence.

"The spirit is below, above to the west, to the east, and to the north.

The spirit is indeed the whole world."

Joseph Campbell, Inner reaches of outer space

Our Emerging Future is happening
NOW

Trauma is not just "in our head"… It leaves a real, physical imprint on our body, jarring our memory storage processes and changing the circuits of our brain. The good news is that we can regulate our stress-response system and maintain our emotional balance.

As Helen Keller said: "Although the world is full of suffering,

it is also full of the overcoming of it."

What distinguishes anthroposophic psychotherapy from conventional methods is the knowledge that the human being is a spiritual being, an "I" who is learning to control and guide its soul qualities of perception, thinking, feeling and willing. The soul connects with the body and acts upon it, yet is also influenced by it. The soul thus stands in an interactive relationship between body and spirit. The "I" is intended to develop self-aware and self-determined freedom.
